Jef OlsonJeff Olson –
Olson’s responsibilities with CUAD include government affairs and public/media relations. Jeff is a native of Warren, Minnesota and he earned a degree in Mass Communications and with an emphasis in broadcast journalism from Bemidji State University, Bemidji. MN. He has worked in both radio and television as an on-air personality and news anchor/reporter at several broadcast affiliates throughout North Dakota and northern Minnesota. He also was a partner in an advertising and marketing firm that served a variety of clientele in various capacities, including: public and media relations corporate image branding; strategic marketing planning; and creative writing and production. He has advocated for higher education; home builders; developmentally disabled; and for smoke free issues. He also worked in the North Dakota Governors Office as the director of constituent services, and has served as a political strategist and consultant on a number of legislative campaigns and initiated measures throughout North Dakota.



Robbie Thompson

Robbie Thompson -
Thompson is responsible for the management and oversight of the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas, and in conjunction with the Board of Directors establishes and achieve the Association’s strategic objectives. Thompson a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota earned degrees in Business and in Economics from the University of Minnesota-Morris, Morris, MN. He also earned a Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, MN, and is a licensed attorney. Thompson has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. He started his credit union career as a compliance attorney with the Minnesota Credit Union Network where he advised credit unions on legal, compliance and regulatory requirements and advocated for credit unions on regulatory issues. Thompson also was General Counsel and Vice President of League Services for the New Jersey Credit Union League, where he oversaw the education, non-profit foundation, compliance and legal areas for the Hightstown based state trade association.  Prior to joining CUAD, Thompson lead the Legal and Risk Management areas as Vice President and General Counsel for Members Cooperative Credit Union in Cloquet, MN.



Greg Tschider
Attorney

Mr. Tschider serves as the lead North Dakota Legislative lobbyist and is the counsel of record for Credit Union Association of the Dakotas. He is an accountant and lawyer and has represented the interests of North Dakota Credit Unions since 1973. Greg is a CPA and Attorney and he operates a private practice in Bismarck. He earned both his accounting and JD degrees from UND. Greg has lectured on tax and business law at the University of Mary, Bismarck. He has practiced law before the North Dakota Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Federal Districts Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals.




Tim Dougherty
Attorney, Dougherty & Dougherty, LLP

Mr. Dougherty has represented credit unions in South Dakota since 1987. He was responsible for the passage of legislation authorizing local governments to deposit public funds in credit unions throughout the state. His advocating services include advising the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas on legislative and regulatory matters’ reviewing and drafting legislation ; and monitoring, supporting and opposing legislation affecting South Dakota Credit Union in Pierre. Mr. Dougherty lives in Sioux Falls, SD.
