Credit unions and craft beer: What can your organization learn from a brewery?- Mark Portz
The credit union community differentiates itself and takes pride in community involvement. Similarly, many breweries have done an excellent job of serving as not just local watering holes, but engaged and valued parts of the community. How are your efforts engaging those that are not employees or members? How can you position your credit union as a key part of the community, rather than just a financial institution that contributes to the community?

Kirk Drake, Credit Union 2.0- In recent decades, credit unions have seen unprecedented threats, due in large part to an eighty-year-old business model and an inability to adapt quickly to a digital economy. But, Kirk Drake has devised a powerful plan to revitalize these noble institutions, making them more competitive, more creative, more connected with their membership, and more in tune with the times. It's time to be innovative and bold, to challenge long-standing inefficiencies and move away from the "old school" methods of doing business. CU 2.0 provides the skills, the savvy, and the fresh ideas necessary to finally transport the credit union out of the twentieth century and into the twenty-first.

An Industry Disruptor
- Credit union services are relatively unchanged from decades ago, though the way you access them is entirely different. This discussion topic addresses how a credit union can stay true to their mission while exciting existing and potential members. And it starts by getting rid of all the talk about how different or special your credit union is.

Even if they’re not poised to take the next open CEO slot, they are a valuable resource for credit unions that are forward-thinking and preparing for the future of leadership, products, services and delivery methods./ Everyone’s looking for the next set of credit union members. We can introduce you. Filene has conducted extensive research from a nationally representative sample of consumers on their borrowing and other financial intentions. Additionally, we’ve already looked ahead to the year 2025 and have a view of what the landscape will look like – how many credit unions will be there, what products and services will be necessary to meet demand and what delivery channels will be most impactful.
