Scott Butterfield

Scott is a trusted advisor to the leaders of more than 85 credit unions located throughout the United States.  A well-respected veteran of the movement, he understands the challenges of today’s community credit unions – and how to overcome those challenges. From strategic planning to micro-enterprise small business development, Scott knows how to get things done!

More than 25 years of credit union service, Scott delivers more than up-to-date industry best-practices. His credit union experience is hands-on, with positions that include VP of Marketing for a $240 million credit union, and VP of Operations/Compliance for a $100 million credit union. Scott also serves as a volunteer credit union board member.

In addition to receiving a formal business education, Scott received valuable insight through his participation in specialized industry-related training such as CUNA Compliance (CUCE), Marketing, Lending, CCUE, Business Development Schools, and Management School. Scott was also a 2010 graduate of the NCUF Credit Union Development Educators (CUDE) program.

Scott is a community development expert, serving as Senior Consultant for CU Breakthrough, the consulting team of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions. This rewarding work includes strategic planning, secondary capital applications, emerging market reviews, grant writing, and business planning for Low-Income Designated and CDFI credit unions.


Amanda McMeans

Amanda knows what it is like to be a marketing executive at a credit union. Through her 12 years in working for credit unions that range in size from $37 million to $200 million in assets, she understands the unique challenges credit unions of that size face in today’s market and can turn those challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth. 

She is the founder and president of TwoScore, a firm that channels her passion for the credit union mission and people to help credit unions under $100 million in assets to reach their strategic goals through marketing. 

Amanda has devoted her career and experience to empowering and mentoring marketing employees at her client credit unions all the while positioning the marketing department as a profit center for the CEO and board. What gets measured gets managed, and Amanda facilitates growth, and communication of that growth, in the key performance metrics that are important to her clients. A popular and powerful speaker, she shares her expertise in marketing strategy, organizational culture, branding, and strategic planning with partners across the country. 


Elliot Eisenberg, Ph. D.

Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D. is a nationally acclaimed economist and public speaker specializing in making the arcana and minutiae of economics fun, relevant and educational.  

Dr. Eisenberg earned a B.A. in economics with first class honors from McGill University in Montreal, as well as a Master and Ph.D. in public administration from Syracuse University. Eisenberg, formerly a Senior Economist with the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C., is a frequent speaker on topics including: economic forecasts, economic impact of industries such as homebuilding and tourism, consequences of government regulation, strategic business development and other current economic issues.  

He is the creator of the multifamily stock index (the first nationally recognized index to track the total return of public firms principally involved in the ownership and management of apartments), the author of more than eighty-five articles, serves on the Expert Advisory Board of Mortgage Market Guide and is a regular consultant to several large real estate professional associations, hedge funds and investment advisory groups.  He has spoken to hundreds of business groups and associations, often as keynote speaker.  

Dr. Eisenberg has been invited to testify before lawmakers and is often asked to comment on proposed legislation. His research and opinions have been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, Bureau of National Affairs, Forbes, Fortune, and many other publications.  He is regularly featured guest on cable news programs, talk and public radio, writes a syndicated column and authors a daily 70 word commentary on the economy that is available at

His interests include keeping the rate of restoration of his 60 year old house ahead of its rate of deterioration and doting on his daughter. He loves ice hockey and talking economics with crowds large and small!
