Wine Tasting Fundraiser

There’s still time to sign up for the Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas wine tasting fundraiser! This pre-Summit event will be held on Sunday, April 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Community Credit Union, 5201 42nd Street South in Fargo. Everyone is invited to attend, and bring a guest! Jump$tart Coalition Financial Literacy Conference

The ND Jump$tart Coalition will be holding a Financial Literacy Conference on Thursday, May 9th at the Grand Hotel in Minot. Topics will include: “Your Money, Your Goals,” with Carrie Johnson, NDSU Assistant Professor and finance specialist; “Income Flows & Stocks of Wealth,” with Scott Wolla, PhD, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and economic education coordinator; “Long Term Care,” with Ellen Bjelland and Vanessa Hoines, NDSU Extension Agents; and “Plan by Intent, Not by Default,” with Kevin Burckhard, Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative. The conference will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and costs $75 per person. Register here.

 

Attention Low-Income CUs: CDRLF Grants Open June 2

Low-income credit unions interested in Community Development Revolving Loan Fund grants can submit applications between June 2 and July 20. Credit unions interested in applying for CDRLF grants should register with the federal government’s System for Award Management. SAM.gov is an official U.S. government website that collects, validates, stores, and disseminates business information about the federal government's trading partners to support contract awards, grants, and electronic payment processes. Grant requirements, application instructions, and other information are available in the 2019 Grant Round Application Guidelines. Credit unions should use the NCUA’s CyberGrants portal to submit grant applications.

 

Black Hills FCU Seeking Marketing Manager.

Black Hills Federal Credit Union is seeking a qualified candidate to join their team as a full-time marketing manager in Rapid City. This position will be responsible for overseeing BHFCU’s marketing operations, implementing key marketing and branding strategies, supervising the in-house marketing team, providing production support for the eCommerce and business development teams and more. Candidates should have five or more years of experience in a related field with equal responsibilities, have the equivalent of a four-year college degree and be highly skilled in business writing and marketing communications. Red River Chapter will hold their Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 25 at the Gastropub in Fargo. Registration opens at 5:30 with meeting and election of chapter officers to follow. North Central Chapter of Credit Unions has scheduled their Annual Meeting for Thursday, April 25 at the Sheyenne Senior Center—100 1st Street North. Meet at 6:00 p.m. for social, dinner at 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. meeting and election of officers. Tonya Hetzler with the Attorney General’s Office with also present information on fraud.
