I came across an interesting read on CREDITUNIONS.COM recently. It was written by Alexandra Gekas and titled “4 Ways to Foster Social Media Engagement.”

A key point that I gained from the article was the statement that social media should not be stressful, but rather a simple, and straightforward way to connect with members. To accomplish this, focus on planning and variety. Credit unions can offer expert advice, hold contests, and highlight employees’ birthdays, accomplishments, and milestones for that human connection. With 3.2 billion social media users worldwide, credit unions of all sizes should not miss out. A successful message can be accomplished with little time and a small budget.
