New Ideas Conference Underway in Rapid City!
by CUAD Communications

The 2019 New Ideas Conference kicked off last evening in Rapid City, South Dakota with nearly 60 credit union professionals in attendance. Registration, networking social and dinner was held starting at 5:30 p.m. at the rustic brewery and taproom, Hay Camp.

According to Lori Welder, CUAD’s Director of Communications, the venue was abuzz with a lot of enthusiasm as attendees enjoyed time to reconnect with peers, while savoring a delicious meal and some amazing and unique brews.

Sponsors of this year’s fall conference had the opportunity to take the stage for brief introductions and to share a bit about how their product and/or service can help generate some “New Ideas” for Dakota credit unions.

Today’s meetings started at 8:30 a.m. as Elry Armaza introduces the “Filene Method” and the Immersion Workshop that will be a common thread throughout the next two days. Today will be jam-packed with scheduled speakers and activities, all designed to put a spotlight on the latest trends and disruptors in our industry. This evening, the popular Pub Crawl, a fundraising event for the Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas, will also take place.
