CUAD Awards Open

Your Association is accepting award nominations for our annual CUAD Awards. These prestigious awards recognize individual and credit union achievements in many different areas! The award presentation takes place during the Annual Summit in Sioux Falls, May 4 – 6, 2020. Details and nomination forms can be found here on the CUAD website.

 

                                         Capital Credit Union Promotes Wegner

Mekenzie Wegner was recently promoted to financial services representative at Capital Credit Union’s Northwest Branch in Bismarck. In this role, she will be responsible for consumer lending including auto, RV and home equity loans, delivery of deposit products such as money market accounts and certificates of deposit, and actively soliciting, promoting, and servicing credit union products and services. Wegner has been with Capital Credit Union since April 2017, most recently as a contact center representative.

 

Registration Open for MONDAK Roundtable

Registration is open for the MONDAK Roundtable being held February 11 – 12 in fabulous Las Vegas. This two-day meeting is exclusively for Managers, CEOs, and volunteer board members. Plan Now to Attend GAC

It’s not too soon to start making plans to attend the premier credit union event of the year – the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC). This event brings more than 5,000 credit union professionals to Washington DC each year for amazing speakers and breakout sessions, plus the CUAD Hike-the-Hill meetings with our elected representatives, and more! Two FREE Copiers Available

Due to a recent upgrade, Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union (Sioux Falls, SD) has two copiers available for the asking! These copiers are in good working condition, and are available on a first-come first-serve basis to any credit union that is able to pick them up in Sioux Falls. Please contact Linda Soyland 605.977.8313 for more information.

 

Dakotaland FCU Offering Free Equipment!

Cash Dispenser Parts – Dakotaland FCU in Huron, SD has an older cash dispenser that no longer works, but there are multiple working parts that may be parted out. The TCD machine is Model DeLaRue TCD50cxp. Extra parts that are available include: 4 coin dispensers; 6 key pads; 6 journal printers; 6 cassettes; and the inside modules.  For more information contact Jennifer Huehl.

Coin Machine – Dakotaland also has a working coin machine available for the taking! This machine was used up to the time it was replaced. The plate is worn and should be replaced, but this item can also be claimed by contacting Jennifer Huehl.

 

Upcoming Chapter Events

Maurie C. Byrne Chapter Christmas Party will be held on Tuesday, December 3 at Eagles Crest Grill at Kings Walk Golf Course – 5301 South Columbia Road – Grand Forks. Social begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner. Credit unions are asked to contact Med Park Credit Union with your head count and meal choices at 701.780.5733 or medparku@msn.com no later than November 27.

Credit Unions United Chapter is hosting their Christmas Social on Tuesday, December 3. Meet at 5:30 p.m. at Eventures—1800 22nd Avenue SW (next to Starbucks) in Minot for social, wine tasting, appetizers, and prizes. RSVP to Beth Nelson, Prairie Federal Credit Union no later than November 26.

Red River Chapter Holiday Social will be held on Thursday, December 5 at the Fargo Air Museum, 1609 19th Ave. N, Fargo. Social begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by buffet dinner at 6:00 p.m. The chapter is planning an Irish Auction to support Jessy’s Toy Box, and each credit union is encouraged to donate an item. RSVP to Laura Bryson by November 26.

Missouri Valley Chapter Holiday Event will be held on Thursday, December 5th at Capital Credit Union’s Northwest Branch in Bismarck. Social begins at 5:30 p.m. The group will be holding a “Giveback” project for the Abused Adult and Animal Shelters. Please bring toiletry items for people, and animal supplies for pets.
