Angie Cumbee Announces Upcoming Retirement
by CUAD Communications

Huron, SD – Angie Cumbee, President/CEO of Dakota Rail Line FCU (previously known as Huron CN&W FCU) has announced her upcoming retirement effective in July, 2020. Angie has been an active South Dakota credit union advocate since 2000, when she started working for Rushmore Electric FCU in Rapid City, where she was CEO for ten years. After moving to Huron, she began assisting with some “clean-up” work at C&NW, and was subsequently hired as the CEO in January of 2015.

Following Angie to C&NW to assist with delinquency and collections issues was her trusted daughter, Shelby Gondzar. As a result of her dedicated and hard work and additional training over the past five years, the Dakota Rail Line’s Board of Directors has named Shelby as the next President and CEO-elect.

Shelby has worked with credit unions for many years, having first worked for Angie at Rushmore Electric FCU in Rapid City. She joined Dakota Rail Line on February 9th, 2015 as the Collection Officer, then became the Lending Officer, and is currently the Operations Manager. Shelby has direct oversight for all the credit union’s many services it offers to their members, as well as all the back-office support systems required to keep the credit union running smoothly. Shelby and her husband, Justin, have a daughter, Summer Ann and reside in Cavour, SD.

Angie Cumbee will remain in her position until Independence Day 2020, at which time she and her husband, Dan Cumbee, will move permanently to their home in Hill City, SD. Shown in the photos below are Angie, left, and Shelby, right.
