Don’t be a SQUARE! It’s GO TIME!
by CUAD Communications

We really miss you and it’s definitely time for us to meet up again! With the 2020 Summit just four weeks away, NOW is the time to sign up and take advantage of this great opportunity to reconnect with your friends and peers. Let’s face it, this year has been a real bummer – but there is something to look forward to with our signature event and annual meeting!

Did we mention the word FREE? We just did! Some of you may qualify for the Alloya Reconnect Summit Scholarship. If your credit union assets are $35M or under, the scholarship will cover your entire Summit registration fee. Better hurry, these scholarships are on a first come, first served basis. Check out the details here.

Since COVID “crashed” so many of our plans this year, we’re going to make an impact with our own Summit Crashers! That’s right, we’re not letting the pandemic cancel our Crasher program. This opportunity is exclusively for young professionals age 35 and under who want to enhance their credit union network, skills, community engagement, and experience. All Crashers will receive their 2020 Summit conference registration, (here it comes that word again), for FREE! The Crasher program is sponsored by Millennium, so the only cost Crashers and their credit unions will incur are lodging and travel expenses. But you need to act now – registration for the Crasher program closes on Thursday, September 10th. If you are serious about your professional development register here or contact Lori Welder for more information.

Don’t forget about our world-class presenters!

Joe Schmit – Award-winning broadcaster, author and popular keynote speaker (and just an all-around, good guy) will help us kick off the event on day one. Joe will be speaking about leadership skills drawn from his two acclaimed books as he presents “Impact Leadership.” Here’s a brief Dakota Summit welcome message from Joe himself! You can certainly tell that he is a professional speaker. (Rumor has it that when our own Jeff Olson was in college at Bemidji State, he wanted to be just like Joe Schmit and would watch his newscast every night!)

Shawna Suckow – Could there be a better time for the “Financial First Responders” to increase their market share? We all need some help creating memorable marketing. Our closing keynote speaker has shared her industry experience and expertise in 17 different countries on 5 continents and has been recognized as a “Global Top 100 Women Business & Tech Speakers.” WOW! Now that’s something to get excited about! Check out this exclusive message for Dakota CUs from Shawna as she shares what’s in store for attendees. If you are not there in person, you’re definitely going to miss out!

We will also be “taking care of business” with our Annual Business Meeting Tuesday afternoon, October 6, and of course, our Vendor Showcase will be open so you can learn more about many of our business partners who are excited to engage and get back to business once again.

And the award goes to...

Well, you simply must be there to see who will take home the top credit union and individual awards. Plus, we’re going to recognize two (top secret) well-known and deserving longtime credit union professionals as we induct them into the Association’s Credit Union Hall of Fame.

Things are slowly getting back to “normal” around the Dakotas, and we know you don’t want to miss our biggest educational and networking conference of the year! C’mon, it’s time to reconnect!

Please join us October 5 – 6 at the Denny Sanford Premier Convention Center and Sheraton Sioux Falls for the #CUADSummit.
