Holiday Schedule – Closed Monday

The Association offices will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observation of Labor Day and to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States. Please have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.


SD Healthcare Trust Update

CUAD President/CEO Jeff Olson and your Association are inviting you to attend a Zoom meeting next week for an update on the South Dakota Healthcare Trust Update, plans and rates. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. (CT) 1:00 p.m. (MT). Open Your Eyes Webinar

Don’t forget to register for the Open Your Eyes Quarterly Update Webinar being held  September 14 at 2:00 p.m. (CT) 1:00 p.m. (MT). This is a FREE offering for campaign contributors and those interested in learning more about the campaign and its direction during the pandemic. NCUF Scholarships to Cybersecurity eSchool

The National Credit Union Foundation is offering 59 scholarships for credit unions with $250 million assets or below to attend CUNA Cybersecurity eSchool with NASCUS starting October 6. The goal is to provide small credit unions access to cybersecurity training at no cost to their organization. This eSchool covers top threats and methods of protecting your credit union with the latest cybersecurity trends and tools, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. Railway CU Seeking Systems Administrator

Railway Credit Union (RCU) in Mandan, ND has an opening for a Systems Administrator position. A two-year associates degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required. RCU offers a competitive salary and benefit package, with typical schedule being 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Evening or weekend hours may be needed occasionally. The primary duties of the position will be maintaining and supporting the IT assets of the credit union and also working closely with the core processing system to provide additional operational support. This person will create communication that effectively promotes the credit union to current and potential members through quarterly newsletters, social media, advertising, as well as coordinating special events. They will be responsible for creating innovative marketing strategies to attract new leads and nurture those leads into members of the Credit Union. Cornerstone CU League Seeking EVP/Chief Revenue Officer

The Cornerstone Credit Union League, located in the Dallas metropolitan area in Plano, Texas, is looking to fill a highly visible role on the executive leadership team. This position strategically leads revenue generation and will own the value proposition for the league’s service corporation. As the Chief Revenue Officer, reporting directly to the President/CEO, you will be charged with establishing sales goals and monitoring performance metrics to achieve sustainable revenue growth. Responsibilities will also include analyzing large amounts of data, integrating technology to support revenue generation, the oversight of business managers ensuring effective execution towards sales targets, and assisting in exploring merger and acquisition opportunities. The successful candidate will be well versed in developing business plans and executing go-to-market strategies, possess excellent negotiating and communication skills, and have eight plus years of executive leadership experience with a focus on sales and service within the credit union industry. Additionally, this individual will be a self-starter with a proven ability to act as a change agent within a high-pressure environment.  Experience with CRM software, digital channels, business intelligence, and customer data platforms is required. 2021 Diamond Awards Now Open

CUNA is now accepting nominations for their 2021 Diamond Awards. The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council has also introduced Crisis Management as its newest category, category announced in two years, bringing the total to 35 categories. The Diamond Awards are the highest credit union-specific honor for creative, results-driven solutions. Early Bird deadline is December 21, 2020 and Final Deadline is January 15, 2021. Don’t Forget Miracle Jeans Day!


Miracle Jeans Day is next Wednesday, September 9. Your credit union can help raise funds for your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital by allowing employees to wear jeans to work that day in exchange for a donation. Alloya’s Virtual Leadership Symposium Next Week

Alloya Corporate FCU will hold their 2020 Credit Union Executive Leadership Symposium virtually on September 10-11. The corporate looks forward to hosting the event online and providing great education to credit union leaders free of charge. The Symposium will include two half-days of online education, beginning Thursday, September 10, at 10:30 am CT, and again on Friday, September 11, at 11:00 am CT.
