Capital Credit Union Promotes Ashley Wooden

Ashley Wooden was recently promoted to financial services representative at Capital Credit Union’s Main Office. In this role, she will be responsible for consumer lending including auto, RV and home equity loans, delivery of deposit products such as money market accounts and certificates of deposit, and actively soliciting, promoting, and servicing credit union products and services. Wooden earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary in 2015. She has been with Capital Credit Union since 2019, most recently as a member services associate at the North Branch.

 

Alloya Holds Virtual Leadership Symposium

Alloya Corporate held their annual Executive Leadership Symposium in a virtual format last week. A record-breaking 577 credit union professionals from 365 credit unions representing 28 different states gathered for online education free of charge, in continuation of Alloya’s efforts to provide as much relief as possible to credit unions during these uncertain economic times. Featured speakers included keynote Ginger Hardage, former Senior Vice President of Culture and Communications at Southwest Airlines and founder of Unstoppable Cultures; NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood; CUNA President and CEO Jim Nussle; keynote Lee Rubin, former captain of the Penn State football team; and a live panel discussion on COVID-19 Impacts and the Presidential Election, featuring Alloya Investment Services’ Tom Slefinger, CUNA Mutual’s Steven Rick and CUNA’s Jordan van Rijn. Next year’s Symposium is slated to be held from September 8-10, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV at the Venetian-Palazzo Resort, Hotel & Casino. Pre-registration is now open. CUNA is accepting nominations for its 2021 Diamond Awards. The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council has also introduced Crisis Management as its newest category, the first new category announced in two years, bringing the total to 35 categories. The Diamond Awards are the highest credit union-specific honor for creative, results-driven solutions. Early Bird deadline is December 21, 2020 and Final Deadline is January 15, 2021.
