Recommended by Amy K – NCUA COVID-19 Webinar

Federally insured credit unions can learn more about the National Credit Union Administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic by participating in a webinar hosted by the agency on Thursday, December 3, beginning at 12 p.m. CT. During the webinar, NCUA staff will also discuss recently issued guidance and regulations, as well as other agency initiatives. Registration is limited to no more than 2,500 participants on a first-come, first-served basis so be sure to sign up now


DakCU Award Nominations Open!

As we recently announced, Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Summit Awards. There are many opportunities for both individual and credit union awards. Be recognized for your achievements! All entries must be received no later than December 18, 2020. The DakCU Awards will be presented in Fargo, North Dakota at the elegant Awards Banquet during the Annual Summit scheduled May 3 – 5, 2021.  Award details and nomination forms can be found here.


National Credit Union Foundation Virtual Celebration

The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has announced sponsorship and viewing packages are now available for purchase for the 2021 Foundation Celebration. On March 2, 2021, a virtual event featuring Wegner Award winners of the past will take place. The Foundation will not be presenting the annual Herb Wegner Memorial Awards in 2021 as they will wait to honor new winners in person with family and friends. However, they are still looking forward to bringing the spirit and inspiration of the Wegner Dinner into your organization and home through the Foundation Celebration. The Celebration will be a fun “night out” for our movement to get dressed up, experience interviews with some past Wegner Award winners with help from emcee Andy Janning, support the National Credit Union Foundation, and an opportunity to get re-energized with passion for the difference we make as credit unions. Capital CU Welcomes Brad Shetler

Capital Credit Union has welcomed back Brad Shetler as Bismarck-Mandan market president. Shetler has nearly 13 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. As market president, he will lead Capital Credit Union’s Bismarck-area business lenders, with a focus on growing the credit union’s business services. Shetler rejoins the Capital Credit Union team after six months at First Western Bank & Trust. Prior to that, he worked at Capital Credit Union for 12 years; starting as a teller and working as a financial services representative, branch manager, credit analyst, business services officer, and, finally, business services vice president. Shetler earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary. He lives in Bismarck with his wife, Nicci, and son, Bryson.


Vue Community CU Seeking Mortgage Loan Processor

Vue Community CU in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor. Primary duties will include assisting the mortgage loan officer and working with mortgage companies that purchase loans, as well as title companies, and appraisers. HUMDA and Escrow experience helpful, but not required. Dakota Plains CU Seeking Ag/Commercial Loan Officer

Dakota Plains CU in Edgeley, North Dakota is seeking an ag/commercial loan officer with 3 – 5 years of experience. The qualified individual must have a comprehensive understanding of ag/commercial lending, an ability to analyze and underwrite credits, and an ability to oversee and evaluate the entire loan portfolio. A bachelor’s degree in business, ag economics, or related field is required. The chosen individual will be responsible for fostering relationships with new and existing members through written and oral communications. They will also prepare credit presentations for the loan committee and will work closely with the branch manager and consumer loan officers to provide solutions and products for members to positively promote the credit union in the community.
