Credit Union Professional Roundtable Just Around the Corner!

There is still time to join credit union professionals from across the Dakotas to network, discuss and learn from each other on a variety of topics. The Credit Union Professionals Roundtable is a great place for anyone in the credit union industry, from vice presidents, senior managers, supervisors, and even branch managers. This event is the perfect, casual setting to gain an understanding of the pressing topics and opportunities your credit union faces and issues relevant to your credit union. IRA Training

Today is the last day to register for CUAD’s annual IRA Training! This class is for both new IRA learners, as well as experiences IRA professionals. Attendees will receive a solid foundation of IRA knowledge and will leave this session ready to work with IRA owners, processing basic IRA transactions with confidence. Small Credit Union Roundtable

CUAD will be holding a Small Credit Union Roundtable meeting on Thursday, September 20th in Sioux Falls, SD. This one-day meeting for small credit union management will be focused on sharing and networking what small credit unions can do to grow, and become relevant. Topics will include loans, deposits, sustaining member growth, and prioritizing services. In addition, the meeting will address staff and volunteer training and recruitment, third party vendor risks, and social media policies. Last year, registration SOLD OUT early for our annual New Ideas Conference! Now is the time to reserve your spot! The fall conference, which will be held October 1 – 3 in Bismarck, has become one of the most anticipated CUAD events of the year. It is focused on new trends and industry disruptors, along with updates on FINTECH (Financial Technology) developments. New Ideas is a unique, fun-filled learning experience. Not only is the venue unique, attendees learn to think in new ways as they are pushed to use their imagination and ingenuity while stepping outside of their comfort zones to find creative solutions for growth and inspiration. Maurie C. Byrne Chapter Legislative Roundtable will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Grand Forks. Social at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner buffet. Vice President of Operations

  • Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish goals and objectives: recruits, employs, trains, supervises, and evaluates tellers and member service representatives.
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to East River FCU policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act and serve as the compliance officer.

Compliance Officer

Sentinel Federal Credit Union located in Rapid City SD is growing and seeking an energetic, motivated and experienced professional to be their new Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer (CO) is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and administration of the Credit Union’s Compliance function. The CO is required to stay abreast of current issues in the regulatory environment and changes in any regulations that affect the credit union or its members, and to advise senior management on how any regulatory changes should be implemented and enforced. The CO will recommend policies and procedures (both new and adjustments to existing), auditing, monitoring and testing internal controls, and reports periodically to the Credit Union’s Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee

VP/Business Lending Officer

Sentinel Federal Credit Union is growing and is seeking an energetic, experienced professional to serve as the VP/Business Lending Officer (BLO) in the Rapid City area. Due to an upcoming retirement, Capital Credit Union (CCU) has a rare opening on their leadership team for a Chief Executive Officer. Headquartered in Bismarck, ND with approximately $500 million in assets, CCU  is a strong, well-capitalized organization with branches located throughout the state. CCU prioritizes members’ consumer needs as well as growing a strong commercial lending portfolio. The CEO position requires active participation in the community that promotes CCU's visibility and continued growth.

A bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. The new CEO must have the ability to work collaboratively with the Board of Directors in defining CCU’s strategic direction and must be an experienced executive who can provide outstanding leadership and direction, while overseeing the safety and soundness of the credit union's financial structure.

The successful candidate will be an individual with a proven track record of excellence, a high degree of integrity and a thorough understanding of commercial, mortgage and consumer lending. A minimum of three years of experience as a President/CEO or five years responsible experience in a financial institution of equal or greater size is desired.
